Phil Sharman Managing Director
Managing Director Phil Sharman has over twenty years’ sign trade experience, the greater part of which has been in the specialist area of sign maintenance services. Originally from Derby, Phil spent the early part of his career in accountancy before moving into sales roles. It was in the mid 80s that Phil first established his own business, a contracting company which soon found its way in to the sign trade, leading on to a specialisation in the maintenance sector which suited his quality service ethic. It was in 1995 that Phil started the company, and has been at its helm uninterrupted throughout the company’s growth to its current position of market leader.
Joanna Boraston Financial Director
Joanna qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG in Kent before moving into industry as Financial Accountant for a local brewer. She later held management roles with a local newspaper group and a recruitment agency, before joining the Blaze Group in 2001. Appointed to the Blaze Board the following year, she became Finance Director of Cygnia Maintenance at the time of their acquisition by Blaze Signs Holdings in September 2007.'
Wayne Jeal Operations Director
Wayne joined the company in 2003 as Ops Manager, having previously held a similar role with a rival company. Wayne has a wealth of experience in the signage maintenance business having joined the trade in 1990 as an engineers mate, and soon progressed to become a Team Leader. Wayne’s experience and his determination to succeed have been rewarded with a series of promotions throughout his career, culminating in his accession to Directorship in 2005.
Fraser Burns Commercial Manager
The newest member of the Cygnia management team, Fraser joined the company having spent the last few years specialising in lighting maintenance for the retail sector. Prior roles with major names in the lighting industry such as Philips and Zumtobel meant that Fraser was an ideal candidate to front the Commercial Management of Cygnia and his technical knowledge ensures that our signage maintenance solutions are efficient in every way.
